Anxiety, Depression, Women's Issues“Anything that’s human is mentionable, and anything that is mentionable can be more manageable. When we can talk about our feelings, they become less overwhelming, less upsetting, and less scary.” — Fred Rogers

Anxiety, Depression, LGBTQ+“I believe that telling our stories, first to ourselves and then to one another and the world, is a revolutionary act. It is an act that can be met with hostility, exclusion, and violence. It can also lead to love, understanding, transcendence, and community. I hope that my being real with you will help empower you to step into who you are and encourage you to share yourself with those around you.” —Janet Mock, writer, TV host, and transgender activist

"One small crack doesn't mean that you are broken, it means that you were put to the test and did not fall apart" --Linda Poindexter
Alone in the room
You’re surrounded by people yet you are unsure whether you’re ok. Those around you seem to think so but you feel that at any moment the right trigger could burst you into tears. You feel shame, anger, frustration, and even hopelessness at times. These are all feelings we’ve felt at one time or another throughout our lives. They are all part of the human experience. However, many of us struggle to move on from these feelings and feel weighed down by our past experiences or our current circumstances. We can feel like we’ve lost control of our own lives. What is helpful
A therapist can help when you’re feeling lost. Recognizing and then talking about the circumstances of pain can be uncomfortable. If you trust the process in a safe space it is possible to heal and change. In a supportive environment, you’ll feel the strength and resolve as we collaborate on how to put one foot in front of the other. You are stronger than you realize. The right fit
In any counseling session, it is a priority that we make the right connection. My areas of training and expertise are with people who have experienced trauma and difficult circumstances. It’s in my nature to provide a warm space for us to do work together. If you’re struggling with anxiety, depression, and difficult relationships I’m here to journey with you to help you meet your goals. I have experience and expertise in working with adoption and foster care too. I believe that healing is a process and can frequently not be done alone. I am passionate about partnering with individuals in the healing process to provide them with support and guidance.Similar Therapists
