"Connecting your thoughts with your feelings about relationships, self, and your purpose will set a steady course for the rest of your life."

Relationships are everywhere

Early on when studying psychology I learned that life’s problems can be understood as relationship problems. It seems to be true that people struggle with three main relationships:
  • Relationship with self
  • Relationship with others
  • Relationship with life’s meaning (Religion or Spirituality)
Which of these relationships could you improve or deepen? Each one of them holds great potential for peace, happiness, abundance, and meaning. And each one of them can cause innumerable worries, anxieties, and depression when they are out of balance.

30 Day Relationship Challenge

In 2023, I wrote a course called 30-Day Relationship Challenge.   In this course, I share some of the best insights, stories, and illustrations that most of my clients hear in session with me.  Relationships can be the source of great joy and pain.  I hope that I can help you on our journey to discover and maintain a healthy and thriving relationship with yourself and others.  Click on the picture below to learn more or visit www.truismcenteredlife.com

Learn how to ride the waves and enjoy your life

Life can drag you out to sea, tumble you under the waves and leave you struggling for air. It might feel like all of your efforts barely keep your head above the water. Others are catching waves and having fun and yet there you are feeling beat up by negative thoughts and waiting for your turn. Good therapy is like learning to work with the tide. My job is to help you get your footing, resist the rush, get back up when you get knocked down and experience the best life has to offer when you feel that crest. Cognitive Therapy can help you take control of how you interpret the negative and positive events in your life, allowing you to “ride the waves” with healthy emotional and behavioral coping skills.

Sex therapy for couples and individuals

In therapy, I create a safe space for you to talk about the difficult thoughts and feelings associated with your relationships.  I have specialized training around sexuality, sex, sexual fulfillment, and sexual function, and work with people to reduce shame and increase satisfaction.
